Ishii Sensei Seminar

Hitoshi Ishii Sensei (7 Dan) first started swinging a shinai at the age of seven. Since joining his junior high school kendo club, he began to train almost every day. He earned his 6th dan at age 33, and 7th dan at age 43. His final appearance in a shiai was at the age of 55, when he participated in the National Sports Festival. He'll turn 70 on August 14, right before coming to Portland.

There will be a lunch break during the Saturday seminar. Please bring your own lunch.

Although the seminar date is on Saturday, September 19, Ishii Sensei will join various practices throughout the preceding week with the local dojos.

There will be a dinner after the seminar, details TBA.

Registration will allow you to register for other people. Minors should have their parents register for them. You may register for multiple people, including yourself and your (minor) children, at the same time. Non-Kenchikai members will be asked to create an account with us and fill out a waiver for yourself and any registered minors. Registration also allows you to view your receipts as well as registration information for this event (and other registered events, too). Your email and phone number will only be used to notify you of event changes. We won't use your information for anything else.
